Rachael’s step by step this month features Lily Bee Victoria Park.
Materials: Lily Bee Design- Grand Theatre, Hyde Park & Convert Garden PPs, Sticker & ABC Stickers, Twine, Cabachon Flowers-Bag H.
Tim Holtz – Distress ink – Green & Stazon – Jet black ink, The Crafter’s Workshop – 6×6 Brick template, Martha Stewart – Doilies & Double Loops Punch Set & Kaisercraft – Journal Texture Clear Stamp.
Step 1. ¾ of the way down the Black Cardstock, using the 6×6 Brick Crafters Workshop Template dab with Gesso, I find using a paint brush gives it more Texture & a more of a ruff Brick finish.
Next grab the Kaisercraft textured clear Stamp – Journal & Randomly stamp onto the black Cardstock. I’ve used Gesso (white paint also would work just as well). While that dries, cut approx 24cmx24cm square from the Covent Garden paper, then with the Martha Stewart – Double Loop Punch set, punch around the edges, ink the edges with the Distressing Ink & place it down in the centre. Then again with the Kaiser – Journal Stamp & some gesso, randomly stamp onto the patterned paper.
Step2. Cutting approx 14 cm circle from the Grand Theatre pp, Distress, ink & cut in half placing both half’s down the lower half of the square, With approx 3cm gap.
Then cut approx 24cm x 9cm Strip from Hyde Park & approx 22cm x 1cm strip from the reverse side of Covent Garden pp, Distress, Ink & place, over the circle.
Then on go your photos.
Step 3. Create a banner with the triangles from the Mixed Cardstock Stickers…. I’ve matted the Triangles in Black & White Cardstock to give it a more of a WOW factor & added some Mounting Squares to each Triangle…. Place the banner across the top, add some twine. Then add part of your title by using the letters from ABC sticker sheet, then the rest of your title goes below the photo!!
Finish off by adding a few more Stickers, Martha Stewart Doilies & some Cabachons Flowers.
*I’m not the biggest fan of my handwriting & I had a bit of Journaling to go with this layout, SO! I made this TAG by cutting a rectangle from white cardstock, then cutting the corners at 1 end… cutting another rectangle just a tad smaller piece from the Hyde Park paper & attaching it to the white! Pierce hole at the top pop a bit of twine though* I Added my Journaling & popped it in behind the Photo…
