Step by Step – Fran Tynan

Who wants some weekend inspiration??? Fran has sent through a new layout complete with step by step instructions! Want to see more…..well follow the steps below to create your own version of Fran’s layout.

Ingredients
1 x Scenic Route grid background paper (use white c/s if you don’t have any background paper)
2 x WRMK Frenzy patterned papers (or two co-ordinating sheets of another brand)
American Crafts Velvet Thickers (or similar alphabet)
HS Fat Cat Pink Plastic Alphabet
MM Noteworthy II Glitter Diecuts box
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders x 2 – Fran has used distressed stripes and script
MM Tiny Alphabet Letters
FTI Buttons
Strips of ribbon
HS Edge Distresser
Black pen

Step One
Take your grid background paper and your two patterned papers from your pile. Cut one of the patterned papers 7″ x 8″ and the other patterned paper 11″ x 2″. On the strip create a decorative scalloped border using whichever tools you have available to do this.

Step Two
Distress the square looking patterned paper using HS edge distresser or similar. Draw borders on the strip of patterned paper that you scalloped. Stick both down and also stick your photo on.

Step Three
Get two Noteworthy Round Glitter Diecuts (or similar) and use the two Cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss them.

Step Four
Use your velvet thickers (or similar) and your Plastic Alphabet to create your title down the side of your photo. Place one of the embossed journaling spots underneath the title and add the date/journaling on this spot with MM tiny alpha stickers

Step Five
Use the other embossed die cut to make one flower, and use another MM diecut (layered) to make the second flower, using the ribbon as stems.

Step Six
Put a few buttons around to add the finishing touches and doodling to (if that’s your thing!) and your are done!
Happy scrapping!
Please feel free to share your layouts in the gallery!
