Boxes and Fridge Magnets by Nicole Pomeroy

by Anna

Hiya, I’m here to show you a couple of festive projects, these can be altered to use for any other theme.  I think that’s the best part.  I’m definitely going to keep my ‘wish list’ on my fridge.

Materials List

  • Crate Paper Snow Days Papers - Festive, Candy and Sparkle
  • Crate Paper Snow Days Layered Chipboard
  •  Crate Paper Snow Days Journal Stickers
  • Kaiser pearls
  • American Crafts Thickers
  • White Card
  • Glitter Glue
  • Tape/tape runner/glue
  • Foam Dots/Liquid Scrap Dots/ anything you can use for dimension
  • Pen
  • String
  • Template

Boxes

Step One – Copy template to heavy card and cut out, trace this onto a sheet of white card (it fits four perfectly).  Nicole has made this template herself from a box she already had.

Step Two – Cut all boxes out, score lines and fold.  Punch tie holes in all four triangles.

Step Three – Using tape, glue or a tape runner place adhesive to two of the folded tabs.

Step Four – Stick the sides together leaving one flap open.  Fill with treats of your choice.

Step Five – Tie the boxes up with string, and add glitter dots around the bottom

Step Six – While waiting for the glitter to dry, make a few tags, cut trees from the patterned paper and using a scalloped circle punch, punch out circles.

Step Seven – Add a dimension medium to your trees and adhere them to the circles.  Add a alphabet sticker to your circles and punch a hole to the top.  Tie these onto the boxes.

 Magnet

Step One – I know we all have business magnets laying around, or if your are like me half a dozen that come out of the bounty bags after having the kids :)

Step Two – Cut your magnet to the desired size and cut a piece of patterned paper to the same size.  Using a quick dry glue spread your glue all over the front of your magnet, adhere you paper in place.

Step Three – Cut a piece of card about a ¼ of an inch smaller than your magnet and adhere this over your paper.  Attach a chipboard element in place.

Step Four – Attach a clip to your magnet, I just added a couple of stitches to hold mine down.

Step Five – Cut a few christmas lights from the paper and adhere, add a journaling sticker word and the remainder of your title with small letter stickers

FINISHED

Hope you enjoyed these two quick and simple projects.   How cute would that magnet be done up in a kitchen theme for either your recipes or shopping list??

Thanks for stopping by Nicole
