Step By Step using Basic Grey SOLIEL -By Wendy Smith

Wendy has been creating using the Basic Grey ‘Soliel’ range.

For this step by step she has focussed on the purples in this range to create the following layout

MATERIALS USED:

Basic Grey Soleil Paper – Bikini

Basic Grey Soleil Paper – Lavender Lemonade

Basic Grey Soleil Paper – Rhubarb

Basic Grey Accordian Stickers – Soleil

Basic Grey Pins & Tags – Soleil

Basic Grey Title Stickers – Soleil

Dylusions Ink Spray by Ranger – Bubblegum Pink

Studio Calico Wood Veneer – Classic Calico 2 Hearts & Arrows

Crafter’s Workshop template

Assorted flowers and strip stickers

Cardstock

 

 

STEP 1

Using the Dylusions Mist and Template, created a background effect on your Cardstock.

Create a random pattern focusing on top left and bottom right corners

 

STEP 2

Create a torn strip 4×9 inches of’ Lavender Lemonade’, ink and adhere to top left corner as shown.

Create a second torn piece 6×4 inches of ‘Bikini’, ink and overlap on previous piece as shown

 

STEP 3

Create a Circle piece 4 inches in diameter out of the reverse ‘Lavender Lemonade’

Ink and adhere on top of previous pieces

 

STEP 4

Create a tag shape out of the reverse side of ‘Rhubarb’, ink and adhere on top of the circle

Edge your photo (black sharpie used) and adhere to layered papers

 

STEP 5

Using the Accordian stickers, title stickers and label stickers, create a cluster near the photo

Create a second cluster in the bottom right corner

 

STEP 6

Add some random flowers to the clusters curling the wire to make tendrils

Ink the Wooden Veneer hearts and adhere

 

FINAL

Add your title (Old Basic Grey font used), some twine to the tag and a pin

Journal on your layout.

(A heart shape journal pattern has been used to create movement on the page)

Soliel papers and elements are available in store, so too are the flowers etc.
